Getting Started with P2PChan

Once you've started P2PChan (p2pchan.exe or p2pchan.py), open http://127.0.0.1:8080 in your browser.

The page you will be presented with is your local imageboard in its current state. Since you've just installed, it's most likely empty, unless you've already received some posts.

In the upper right-hand corner, there is a Manage link. The Manage page gives you such options as requesting a thread, un-hiding posts you've hidden, and requesting the latest posts from your peers.

Under "Fetch Missing Threads", click the Fetch Threads button. This will send out a request to all of your peers to give you some of their posts. If you are connected to the network properly and have at least peer with posts, you should see some new posts show up on your board index.

If you can not properly connect to any peers, or are connected but don't receive any posts from them, your computer or router may be blocking P2PChan's traffic. Try opening port 44545 on your router, or disabling your local firewall for P2PChan's process.
